Clients & banner

Who are my clients?

They cover every type of group you can imagine – Visitors and Residents, Students and Seniors, Groups of Families and Friends – anyone who has an interest in exploring London, past and present.

Social Groups

  • Whatever your social group there is a tour to suit you. Take the opportunity to visit
London and you can always fit in a leisurely lunch or shopping too!

  • An educational tour can also be a social outing for groups such as the U3A or WEA

  • Retirement groups can take a trip ‘Down Memory Lane’ – memories will flood back

  • Church and Synagogue Social Groups will learn of their religious heritage

Families and Friends

  • Book a tour of your choice as a Birthday Celebration for you or a friend

  • Take a tour to the London of your childhood with a trip ‘Down Memory Lane’

  • Celebrate a Hen Party with a fun commentary as you go from venue to venue

Schools and Colleges

The tours can be adapted to reflect the curriculum of your school or college.
London offers wonderful opportunities for students of Social History, Ethnic Diversity, London History, London Literature and Urban Geography to leave your libraries for a while and discover history from the buildings, streets and riverside.

Tourists -  Families and Groups

  • Diverge from the usual tourist routes and discover Alternative London

  • Sundays offer an opportunity to visit the vibrant Markets of the East End

  • Experience the diversity of cultures in Cosmopolitan London

Public Cultural Programmes

The tours are often run as part of the Events Programme for organisations who want to encourage the exploration of London. Clients past and present include City Lit, the Museum of London, Museum in Docklands, Women’s Library, Friends of the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A), Friends of the Royal Academy, Freud Museum, Bishopsgate Institute, Jewish Museum, the JCC, the LJCC, LB of Wandsworth and the LB Hackney.

If you are involved in a local history initiative then a walking tour might complement your programme of events.

Corporates

  • Enhance your department with a team building session

  • As part of your conference a tour will introduce delegates to their host city

  • Include a tour in the conference partner programme

  • Entertain local and overseas clients with a tour followed by dinner

  • A familiarisation tour for your staff to discover the history of their workplace area

  • Give your team a break from the office with a departmental social outing

Special Projects

I have been lucky to be involved in projects that enabled me to look at my favourite areas of London in a different way.

Treasure Hunt - devising a cross between a Treasure Hunt and a quiz in and around Bermondsey for a group of European graduate investment bankers provided the opportunity to be very creative with both the history and the current regeneration in the area.

Pickle Project - providing some historical background to a wonderful project run by Alltyre where teams from a corporate environment devise and brand their own pickle.

Acting the Part - well, playing the straight guy for the actors who were in costume for an interactive walking tour in and around Whitechapel. It was such fun and the teams from the client pharma company really entered into the spirt of their quest to find the villain.

Training volunteers - developing in-house courses to help volunteers gain confidence meeting the public. Clients include a newly renovated museum and a recently restored heritage cinema.
Volunteer programmes are key to many of London's cultural initiatives. If you are managing a team of volunteers, please do contact me to see how I can assist.

Quizzes - If you are arranging a quiz and you need the rounds devised and questions formulated then I can help. Rounds themed on  London or women are my forte, whether in words or pictures but any subject can be covered.  With my experience of speaking above the traffic in London I have also proved a very successful Master of Ceremonies!

Art projects - assisting art teachers and artists to encourage their students to use their historic environment as creative inspiration.
