Coach and Bus Tours

If you have your own transport your tour can cover a wide area of London in just a morning or an afternoon and you can make a whole day out by driving both morning or afternoon or combining a coach tour with a walking tour or a visit to a museum or historic house. There are so many combinations that work so let me suggest a few that have proved the most popular.

Classic London ‘Pano’- Travel  around the capital seeing the very best of London’s heritage. A great idea for groups who are new to London or who want to revisit.

Optional visit ideas are endless but include the tourist highlights such as St Paul’s, Westminster Abbey, the British Museum, the National Gallery and other top museums and galleries. Or you could choose to visit somewhere a little less central. Maybe the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the Museum of Brands and Packaging or the London Canal Museum.

Go 2012  - Go East London started running bus and coach tours profiling the forthcoming Olympic Games back in 2006. They are still one of the most popular tours and perfect for a half day or a full day. See Go 2012 for full details.

Docklands- Travel around the vast regenerated Docklands area in east London.

Optional visits to incorporate into the day include the Museum of Docklands, Thames Barrier Park, Brick Lane Music Hall and Wilton’s Music Hall.

East London - Discover the rich and varied history of east London.

Optional visits to incorporate into the day include Whitechapel Art Gallery, Whitechapel Bell Foundry, Ragged School Museum, Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood, Denis Severs’s House, Bishopsgate Institute.

Jewish London - Travel the journey from the City to the suburbs.
A coach tour is perfect to cover the range of Jewish areas from the City to the East End and then north to the suburbs.

This tour works perfectly with an afternoon visit to the Jewish Museum in Camden Town.

If you already had an idea for your tour then do contact me and we can take it from there.

Add a bit of colour to your tour with a Red Routemaster Bus.

Travelling on a classic red Routemaster makes the day out so much more fun. Memories of ‘Summer Holiday’, Red Rover days out, ‘On The Buses’ and Double Decker chocolate bars all come flooding back!
I have worked with several bus companies so will be happy to recommend my favourites to you.

’Virtual’ Tours and Talks

For those who prefer to visit London from their ‘armchair‘ the options are endless. The walking and coach tours can be transformed into talks which, of course, can cover a far greater area than a walking tour and can be themed to match a specific interest.
These talks are travelling more widely than before as I have now been invited to be a guest lecturer on cruise ships.

The talks can last as long as you need them to but typically clients ask for between 45 minutes and an hour.

The range is very varied and popular talks include:

Beatles’ London
Disraeli’s London
Jewish Theatreland
Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s St James’s
Stories Behind The Stores

The Memories Linger On
The Rothschilds At Home
View the Sporting Vision
Women of Worth

Walking tours are not for everyone. That is why there is also a wide range of options for those groups with transport of their own or for those who would like to take it easy, sit back and visit London from the comfort of their ‘armchair’.

For client such as coach and bus tours and Virtual Tours are perfect.
